Built with a stunning solid flamed maple top paired with mango back and sides, it produces a rich, warm, and highly articulate voice that sits beautifully between the sweetness of koa and the depth of mahogany. The tenor body scale offers extended fretboard reach, comfortable spacing, and enhanced low-end resonance, making it an outstanding choice for performing musicians, studio players, and ambitious enthusiasts.

Whether taking centre stage or plugging in for a studio session, the onboard double active pickup system delivers faithful acoustic amplification with discreet soundhole-mounted controls, preserving the instrument's clean silhouette while offering instant tonal adjustment.

Solid Flamed Maple Top and All-Mango Construction

At the heart of the Comet  EQ-A is a solid flamed maple top which is paired with mango back and sides,, Tonally the the instrument produces a sweet, balanced sonic signature with excellent sustain, good highs and natural acoustic volume.

The body features a Blackwood rosette, comfort edge, and scalloped cutaway. The comfort edge makes the ukulele incredibly comfortable to play, and the scalloped cutaway offers access to the highest frets without compromising the volume and tone of the ukulele.

Tenor Scale and Player-Focused Ergonomics

The tenor body size provides a longer scale length and wider fret spacing than smaller soprano or concert models. This gives your fingers extra breathing room for complex chord inversions, high-register soloing, and precise fingerpicking. The increased body volume also produces deeper bass response and greater natural projection.

A smooth African mahogany neck topped with a rosewood fingerboard ensures low, easy action right across the frets, reducing hand fatigue during long rehearsals and extended live sets.

Active Soundhole Electronics

Designed for effortless live performance, the integrated active pickup system transmits the natural acoustic character of the mango body straight to an amplifier or PA system without artificial harshness. The controls for volume and tone are mounted discreetly inside the soundhole, keeping the exterior body completely clean of cutouts while putting adjustments directly at your fingertips.

This active design ensures a strong, low-noise signal for gigging or recording, eliminating impedance issues and delivering a reliable, natural tone whenever you plug in.

Premium Hardware and Padded Gig Bag

Tuning stability is anchored by precise die-cast tuners, ensuring dependable pitch control on stage and off. Quality nut and saddle materials maximise string energy transfer directly into the solid top for enhanced sustain and crisp attack.

For safe transport, the Flight Comet EQ-A comes complete with a padded Flight gig bag, protecting your instrument from everyday bumps, scratches, and weather while travelling to gigs, lessons, or jams.
