Yamaha YAS-26 Alto Saxophone – Near Mint Condition, Freshly Serviced, Perfectly In Tune, Ready to Play, Priced to Sell

This Yamaha YAS-26 alto is in near mint shape and ready to go. The lacquer still looks clean — you’re not dealing with a beat-up school horn covered in scratches and scuffs. It went through a professional service a few days ago, I play tested it several times after that, and it’s perfectly in tune. The tone holes are in great shape, the pads seal evenly with no air leaks, and the overall response is solid. The sound is that familiar Yamaha student alto voice — warm and centered with good projection when you put some air behind it.

The keys feel even under the fingers and the springs snap back quickly without any sluggishness. Soft notes speak cleanly instead of hanging, the middle register stays full, and the upper end holds its focus without thinning out or getting sharp. After the service and those extra play tests, everything feels connected and finished. You can put a reed on it and start playing right away.

The YAS-26 is Yamaha’s standard student alto, the model a lot of school programs use because it holds adjustment well and just works day after day. Near mint examples like this are harder to come by than the usual ones with normal wear from being passed around. A brand new mouthpiece is included along with three brand new Vandoren reeds, so you’re set to play as soon as it arrives.

If you’re looking for a clean, ready-to-play YAS-26 that’s already been serviced and checked more than once, this one fits the bill. It’s priced to sell. Feel free to reach out with any questions!
