Few effects pedals have achieved the legendary status of the BOSS CE-1 Chorus Ensemble, a groundbreaking unit that helped define the sound of chorus as we know it today. Introduced in 1976 as BOSS's first-ever pedal, the CE-1 brought the lush, dimensional chorus and rich vibrato effects of Roland's iconic Jazz Chorus amplifier into a standalone format, forever changing the landscape of guitar effects. Its unmistakably warm, spacious modulation adds depth and movement without sacrificing the character of the instrument, while its distinctive preamp section contributes a unique tonal character that has made it highly sought after by guitarists and bassists alike. From shimmering clean tones and atmospheric textures to the unmistakable sounds of classic recordings, the CE-1 delivers a musicality and vintage character that modern recreations continue to chase. A true piece of effects history, this iconic unit is as compelling to collectors as it is to players seeking the authentic sound of a bygone era.
