Need a pair of mint Genelec monitors? Or a 5.1 system? How about a dream 11.2 Atmos set-up? I have you covered for a massive discount! Be sure to message me so we can discuss options and make a deal!

I have (2) unused Genelec 8341A studio monitors that were purchased for a Ambisonic surround sound installation that never materialized.

The 8341A monitors sell new for $3,675 each, so I am offering substantial savings, especially if you buy several subs and speakers. Each of the monitors also had the 8000-438 horizontal adaptor plates installed so that it mounts horizontally for max dispersion on the K&M custom Genelec stands.

I will ship these monitors but in person pickup is preferred here in the San Francisco Bay Area. Feel free to message me and we can discuss options on the phone.

I have been selling on Reverb for over a decade with 5-star feedback. I retired several years ago so am selling through most of my collection. I would love this system to go to happy homes and studios that will use them!

For extraordinary imaging, extended frequency response, and fatigue-free listening at near- to midfield distances, you can’t beat point-source monitoring with the Genelec 8341A. Part of Genelec’s “The Ones” series, this revolutionary 3-way studio monitor combines Genelec’s Acoustically Concealed Woofer (ACW) technology with other innovative technologies to deliver an impressively linear payload over a remarkably wide bandwidth, resulting in phenomenal imaging and clarity. At Sweetwater, we’re impressed by Genelec’s Smart Active Monitor (SAM) technology, which optimizes level, timing, and equalization of room response anomalies. The result is an amazingly tight, accurate sound with enormous dynamic range and unprecedented frequency response, regardless of where you choose to work.

Precision monitoring meets room-adaptive intelligence

The 8341A is a truly world-class midfield monitor, and thanks to Genelec’s SAM system, it delivers optimal performance in any acoustic environment. Built on the proven electroacoustic foundations of the company’s 1200, 8000, and 7000 Series, SAM automatically molds the 8341A to your room’s acoustics by correcting levels, delays, and anomalies, all managed using Genelec’s proprietary GLM software, which enables you to control up to 80 networked SAM monitors and subwoofers. Moreover, with robust features like AutoCal automated calibration and customizable acoustic settings, the 8341A ensures consistent, neutral, low-distortion sound reproduction across diverse environments and production setups, supporting both analog and digital workflows.

Flawless point-source accuracy and dispersion control

Brandishing Genelec’s MDC design, the 8341A overcomes the limitations of traditional coaxial drivers, namely skewed frequency response due to diffraction, while preserving the pinpoint precision of point-source operation. The MDC design minimizes cone displacement to limit low-frequency bandwidth, eliminates diffraction by avoiding acoustical discontinuities, and features an integrated midrange diaphragm, suspension, and tweeter assembly. Its curved, flexible cone surface joins seamlessly with both the tweeter and driver chassis, forming a smooth, continuous structure that also functions as a Directivity Control Waveguide. The result provides you with an optimized workflow, allowing you to work faster with the confidence that what you hear reflects the true-to-life sonics of any audio signal you’re monitoring, whether you’re standing, seated, or moving about the control room.

Genelec: a legacy of monitoring excellence
