The MXR M68 Uni-Vibe Chorus/Vibrato is a modulation pedal inspired by the famous Uni-Vibe effect of the 1960s, popularized by Jimi Hendrix and its psychedelic, rotary speaker-like sound. It recreates these thick, organic swirling textures in a compact format, featuring an analog circuit and true bypass. It offers two modes: Chorus, which blends the original signal with a modulated signal to create a warm, swirling texture, and Vibrato, which directly modulates the pitch for a more unstable, hypnotic effect. Its three controls, Speed, Level and Depth, respectively adjust the modulation rate, output volume and intensity. Particularly well suited to psychedelic blues, vintage rock and expressive solos, it delivers tones reminiscent of Hendrix and Robin Trower while remaining versatile enough to add character to clean sounds.
