The Fender American Professional Precision Bass Rosewood in 3-Color Sunburst marks a fresh chapter in Fender's modern professional lineup. You've seen the original American Professional, the American Professional II, and the American Professional Classic. This refreshed American Professional Series receives subtle but meaningful changes to both feel and hardware. The neck profile is slightly thicker at the first fret and slimmer at the twelfth, while the updated HiMass Pro bridge now uses brass saddles and brass backstops for a more substantial, refined design. With its rosewood fingerboard, V-Mod III split-coil pickup, and classic 3-Color Sunburst finish, this version is built for players who want familiar P Bass punch with practical refinements for regular gigging, recording, and session work.

The maple neck uses a Modified 1963 "C" profile with rolled fingerboard edges and Fender's "Super-Natural" satin urethane finish for a smooth, comfortable feel across long sets and sessions. A 9.5" radius, 20 narrow tall frets, and 1.625" nut width keep the playing experience familiar without feeling overly vintage, while the asymmetrical five-bolt neck plate and sculpted heel improve access higher up the neck. The V-Mod III split-coil Precision Bass pickup delivers the punch, growl, and focused low end that make the P Bass such a dependable choice in a mix.

The HiMass Pro bridge supports both string-through-body and top-load setups, giving players some flexibility in feel and response, while Fender lightweight vintage-style tuners help keep the instrument balanced and dependable. ClassicGear Precision potentiometers provide smooth, consistent volume and tone adjustment, keeping the control layout simple and effective. We think this is a strong choice for players who want the directness of a traditional Precision Bass with the comfort and reliability expected from a current professional instrument.
