The Fender American Professional Stratocaster HSS in Dark Night pairs the contemporary finish with an alder body, rosewood fingerboard, and V-Mod III HSS electronics. Its four-ply tortoiseshell pickguard is fitted with a zebra bridge humbucker and aged white middle and neck pickup covers.

The maple neck uses Fender’s Deep “C” profile with rolled fingerboard edges and a sculpted heel for easier access to the upper frets. A “Super-Natural” satin urethane finish is applied to the back, with gloss urethane on the headstock face. The 9.5"-radius rosewood fingerboard features 22 Narrow Tall frets, white dot inlays, and a 1.685" bone nut.

The bridge position uses a V-Mod III humbucker, while V-Mod III Stratocaster single-coils handle the middle and neck positions. Five-way switching is joined by a push-push tone control that coil-splits the bridge humbucker, providing its calibrated single-coil configuration without adding another switch.

The upgraded two-point tremolo uses ClassicGear Radial bent-steel saddles and a cold-rolled steel block, along with a pop-in tremolo arm. Fender Standard staggered sealed tuners and an asymmetrical Micro-Tilt neck plate complete the setup.
