Morris W-50 Natural [012048] (10/13)
A Japanese vintage guitar featuring a beautiful three-piece back and a rich, resonant tone!
A Morris W-50 Natural from around 1980 has just arrived!
This is a Dreadnought model from the TF series. It features a spruce top, rosewood laminate sides, and a three-piece back made of rosewood laminate with a bright chestnut center layer.
With a mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard, and a long scale of approximately 652 mm, it offers just the right amount of tension, allowing you to enjoy the rich bass and powerful volume characteristic of a Dreadnought. It produces a cohesive, full-bodied resonance when strummed, while arpeggios reveal the distinct contour of each string.
Its appeal also lies in the ornate design typical of Japanese-made guitars of that era, including hexagonal position marks made from Mexican mother-of-pearl, the vertical Morris logo, die-cast tuners stamped with the Morris name, and multi-layer binding. The three-piece back, where the dark-colored outer panels and light-colored center wood create a beautiful contrast, is particularly eye-catching.
There are marks caused by the pickguard shrinking or from the adhesive used.
The bridge has been re-glued, and the saddle shims have been adjusted.
While there are signs of wear consistent with its age, such as scratches on the body, the guitar is in clean condition, having been cleaned and set up.
This is a guitar that allows you to enjoy the meticulous craftsmanship unique to Japanese-made Morris guitars, as well as its time-worn, characterful appearance.
Donft miss this opportunity to purchase it!
