The Carr Bel-Ray 16W 1x12 Combo Amp in Custom Mahogany Hardwood is a masterful fusion of vintage British tones and modern American craftsmanship. Encased in a beautifully handcrafted mahogany cabinet, this amplifier delivers the iconic chime, crunch, and punch reminiscent of classic '60s and '70s British amps, all within a compact, gig-ready package.
At its core, the Bel-Ray boasts a 16-watt EL84 power section, complemented by a versatile preamp featuring two 12AX7 tubes and a robust EF86 pentode. This configuration offers three distinct voicings—V66, H73, and M68—allowing players to effortlessly switch between sparkling cleans, rich overdrives, and bold, articulate tones.
The amp's tube-driven, bias-modulated tremolo adds a lush, rhythmic depth, while the built-in attenuator provides seamless power scaling from full output down to whisper-quiet levels, making it equally suited for stage performance and home practice. Carr's renowned point-to-point hand-wiring ensures exceptional clarity, responsiveness, and durability, solidifying the Bel-Ray as a top choice for discerning guitarists seeking authentic British-inspired tones with modern reliability.
