The left-handed Deering Artisan Goodtime Two is a 5-string resonator banjo built left-handed from the ground up, with a 3-ply violin grade maple rim, a dark red mahogany stain and planetary tuners, handcrafted in Spring Valley, California. This is not a right-handed banjo strung backwards. Deering builds the neck, the nut and the 5th string for a left-handed player, at the same price as the standard model. Brand new and in stock. We are an authorized Deering dealer in Yellow Springs, Ohio.

The Pot

3-ply violin grade maple rim, 11 inches across, with an 11 inch frosted high crown head. Beveled steel tension hoop with 16 flat J-hooks and 9/32 inch nuts. Two piece flange, Goodtime armrest, 5/8 inch Goodtime Smile bridge and Deering's patented Goodtime tailpiece. Nickel plated hardware and a hand finished satin polyurethane finish.

The Neck

Rock maple neck with a comfortable D shape, dark red mahogany stain and a satin finish, built left-handed. Midnight Maple fingerboard with vintage Artisan style inlays. 22 pressed in nickel silver frets. Lexan polycarbonate nut at 1 1/4 inch width. Goodtime planetary tuners and a Goodtime geared 5th string tuner. 26 1/4 inch scale length.

The Resonator

3-ply poplar, poplar and maple resonator in dark red mahogany stain with a satin finish and straight sidewalls, 13 7/8 inches across. Overall length 38 inches.
