CURRENT PICKUP MODIFICATION

The bridge pickup currently installed in the guitar is an aftermarket Lindy Fralin Split Steel Poled Tele bridge pickup.

This is not being identified generically as merely a “Fralin Tele pickup.” The installed pickup’s appearance and the accompanying Fralin packaging are consistent with Lindy Fralin’s Split Steel Poled Tele model.

Fralin describes the Split Steel Poled Tele as a direct-replacement, hum-cancelling Telecaster bridge pickup designed to produce a thicker P-90-style response while retaining Telecaster installation dimensions. It uses six adjustable steel pole pieces and a split-coil/noiseless design.

The pickup is installed and present in the guitar as photographed.

We do NOT know:

- Who installed the Fralin pickup

- Whether the installation was performed by the previous owner, a technician, or a luthier

- When the pickup was installed

No representation is being made regarding the installer or installation history.

The guitar was originally factory equipped with Fender Ultra Noiseless Vintage Tele pickups. A separate loose Fender pickup/electronics assembly is included and shown in the photographs. The loose bridge pickup is visibly marked Fender Noiseless. Because we do not have documented modification history, we are not representing exactly when these components were removed or who performed the work.

The loose components are included exactly as photographed.

COSMETIC CONDITION

The guitar presents very well overall but is not mint.

The photographs document normal use and handling wear, including a concentrated area of visible surface scratching / finish marks on the back of the body near the neck-joint/upper-bout area.

Additional light surface marks, handling wear, and normal evidence of use may be visible under direct lighting.

The white pickguard shows normal surface/pick wear.

Chrome hardware shows normal light handling/use marks.

No attempt is being made to hide or minimize the documented back scratches; close-up photographs are included so the buyer can evaluate them directly.

MODIFICATION DISCLOSURE

This guitar should not be represented as completely factory-original because the bridge pickup has been changed to a Lindy Fralin Split Steel Poled Tele.

The American Ultra’s original factory specification used Fender Ultra Noiseless Vintage Tele pickups.

The loose Fender electronics/pickup components and Fralin-related material shown in the photographs are included with the guitar.

Because the modification history is undocumented, we are deliberately not claiming who installed the pickup, when it was installed, or that any particular loose component was removed at a specific time.

Please review all photographs carefully. The photos are part of the condition and contents description and show the exact guitar, serial number, installed hardware, modification, case, loose components, accessories, and documented cosmetic wear.
