KoAloha Ukuleles was founded in 1995 by Alvin Okami. Currently, it is run by a small, highly skilled team of craftsmen, led by his eldest son and president, Alan, and his second son and vice president, Paul. KoAloha has become one of Hawaii's leading ukulele manufacturers. It is characterized by its modern look, such as the triangular soundhole and crown-designed headstock, and its loud, resonant tone. This particular instrument is from the "Royal Pikake" series, featuring a beautiful, smooth matte finish. It boasts a Hawaiian koa body, mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard and bridge, the unique "Uni-Brace" internal structure, an ebony headstock veneer, and an abalone headstock logo. Attention to detail is evident in features such as the crown design on the fingerboard sides and end, designed to prevent fret burrs. A black strap pin is attached to the body end, but there are no scratches or signs of wear; it is in very clean condition. A semi-light case is included.
