2013 Squier Classic Vibe Precision Bass FSR Golden Bronze – Rare 1 of 175 – Grand Reward Factory
First, I’m a Super-fan of the Squier instruments made in the Grand Reward factory during that wonderful ten-year period from 2008-2018 and encourage you to check out my other listings or follow my store for updates. I'll be listing numerous GR instruments in the coming weeks. Grand Reward Squiers represent incredible quality and value. In a world of mediocre quality and quality control, these instruments are the real deal.
2013 FSR Squier Classic Vibe Precision Bass. Super Rare, 1 of 175 made in this color, Golden Bronze. Canadian company Long & McQuade commissioned these and they were manufactured in the Grand Reward factory. As mentioned, these are some of the best Squier instruments ever produced. I think Squier/Fender/Grand Reward captured lightning in a bottle with the instruments made in that special decade-long run. Pound for pound, some of the best instruments around. Why do I say that? Good fit and finish, great pickups, nice bridge, stable necks, decent weight, easy truss rod access, nice electronics, comfortable neck profile, Rosewood fretboards, nice vintage frets, etc. The Rosewood fretboard is very nice and uniformly darker than most GR CV Precision basses. This instrument still has the plastic protection and labels attached.
Again, for Grand Reward fans—because it’s a FSR in Golden Bronze—not many instruments made in that factory are as hard to come by as this one. The paint job on this one reminds me of the paint on the newer Mystic Surf Green Fender Precision basses—it looks as though it has a little texture under the clear coat. No doubt, a sight to see. It also feels great in the hands and sounds wonderful.
I am listing this bass as “Very Good” because it has a ding on the headstock, typical very small finish cracks on both sides of the neck joint, a few other minor surface blemishes, and anything I might have missed. With all that said, it’s nicer than some instruments I’ve purchased as mint. Long and short—it’s an amazing bass.
Please look through all the photos. I’ve done my best to represent this bass accurately. I’ve also included photos from the original listings with Long & McQuade.
