2018 Sandberg Forty Eight – Hardcore Aged – Metallic Orange

Beautiful German-made Sandberg Forty Eight, serial #31311, finished in Metallic Orange with cream racing stripes and Sandberg’s factory Hardcore Aged finish.

I took this bass in trade during the pandemic when it was essentially brand new. I gave the previous owner one full year to buy it back for exactly what I paid him because I didn’t want to see a fellow bass player lose his instrument during a difficult time.

I played it only the first day to make sure everything worked, then put it away. It has not been played since.

Instead of marking it excellent, I chose to mark it as good. because some buyers are crybabies, lol. I think it is just the way it came out of the factory. The guy that bought it just could not afford to keep it. It was during the pandemic when a lot of people lost their instruments just to feed themselves. I gave him one year to buy it back from me for the exact same price. This bass is not for me as I will always play my 1966 Fender Jazz bass and my 66 P bass, that were my father’s, and that’s what I learned on.

The wear you see is the intentional factory relic finish, not wear from use.

Rare, killer-looking Sandberg in exceptional condition.

I also have a beautiful relic Sandberg 48 signature series VICTOR BRANDT that I will be listening tomorrow
