Description

Up for sale is an incredible 2011 Santa Cruz D Model Dreadnought. This instrument bears the highly respected, hand-stamped "Hoover/Ross" mark inside the soundhole alongside serial number 4883, confirming its pedigree from the legendary shop founded by Richard Hoover and Bruce Ross.

If you are looking for the elite, world-class tone, massive projection, and acoustic balance of a modern $8,000 Santa Cruz boutique guitar—but want an instrument you can actually take out and play without being terrified of the first ding—this is the ultimate "Player’s Guitar."

Condition & Structural Integrity

• 100% Structurally Sound: This guitar has absolutely NO wood cracks, splits, deep gauges, or previous structural repairs. The neck joint is solid, the bridge is perfectly secure, and the bracing is immaculate.
• Cosmetic Finish Wear: The guitar has been loved, played, and gigged heavily. As a result, the thin, highly resonant nitrocellulose lacquer finish features many surface scratches and light cosmetic scuffs across the body.
• Freshly Cleaned: The entire body has been gently cleaned and detailed using Dunlop Formula #65 to restore the deep gloss of the wood, ensuring the minor finish lines are clean and clear of any dirt or residue.

Playability & Tone

It plays like an absolute dream with great, comfortable action. The custom tapered bracing provides a remarkably powerful, deep bass response that stays tight, paired with sweet, articulate trebles and unmatched midrange projection. It is a absolute powerhouse for bluegrass, flatpicking, and aggressive strumming.
