2022 Gibson Les Paul Standard ’60s – Tobacco Burst | Sweetwater-Exclusive Sugarbucker Pickups | Excellent Condition
This is a stunning 2022 Gibson Les Paul Standard ’60s in Tobacco Burst, and it’s not your typical Standard. It’s a Custom Shop-top example fitted with Sweetwater-exclusive Alnico IV Sugarbucker pickups, a combination that sets it apart from the stock models.
Why this one is different
The Sugarbucker pickups were co-designed by Gibson and Sweetwater, and they’re a big part of this guitar’s voice. Built around rough-cast Alnico IV magnets, they’re slightly underwound and wax-potted for a warm, articulate PAF tone with excellent clarity and dynamic response. The wax potting also keeps microphonic squeal under control, so you get a hi-fi, vintage-style sound that stays clean even when you push the gain.
Look and feel
The glossy nitrocellulose Tobacco Burst finish gives it a classic, stage-ready look, and nitro finishes age beautifully, so this guitar will only get better looking with time.
