Some guitars are loaded with complicated electronics and endless controls. Others prove that simplicity can be the ultimate weapon. The ESP LTD EC-201 in Black Satin takes the legendary Eclipse-inspired design and strips it down to the essentials, delivering crushing tone, effortless playability, and unmistakable rock-and-roll attitude.

With its sleek Black Satin finish, mahogany body, set-neck construction, and powerful ESP LH-150B humbucker, the EC-201 is a no-nonsense performance machine built for guitarists who want serious sound without unnecessary distractions.

Whether you're unleashing heavy metal riffs, laying down aggressive hard rock rhythms, or exploring expressive lead tones, this guitar delivers the power, comfort, and versatility to handle it all.

One humbucker. One volume knob. Endless possibilities.

Black Satin – Dark, Sleek, and Built to Rock

The LTD EC-201 makes an immediate statement with its sinister Black Satin finish, giving the classic single-cutaway EC body shape a bold, understated appearance.

Its mahogany body provides a warm, resonant tonal foundation with rich mids, powerful lows, and excellent sustain.

Elegant multi-ply body binding and a matching bound headstock add refined visual detail, creating a guitar that looks far more expensive than its accessible price would suggest.

The beautiful roasted jatoba fingerboard features distinctive ESP flag inlays and contrasting black binding, reinforcing the guitar's aggressive personality while adding a touch of sophistication.

Finished with black hardware and a single antique nickel-covered humbucker, the EC-201 combines classic styling with modern metal attitude.

No flashy extras. No unnecessary complications.

Just pure, stripped-down aggression.

Set-Neck Construction – Smooth Feel. Powerful Sustain.

At the foundation of the EC-201 is a three-piece mahogany neck with set-neck construction, delivering a solid, resonant connection between the neck and body.

This construction provides excellent sustain and smooth upper-fret access, allowing players to move comfortably between crushing rhythm work and expressive solos.

The neck features ESP's popular Thin U contour, offering a comfortable, streamlined playing feel that's equally suited to aggressive riffing, fast lead passages, and traditional rock playing.

A premium roasted jatoba fingerboard with a 350 mm radius provides a smooth playing surface designed for responsive fretting, precise articulation, and comfortable bends.

Equipped with 24 extra-jumbo frets, the EC-201 offers a full two-octave range and plenty of room for demanding technical passages.

Its traditional 24.75-inch scale length delivers a slightly slinkier string feel than longer-scale guitars, making bends, vibrato, and expressive lead work feel natural and comfortable.

From heavy power chords to screaming high-register solos, the EC-201 is designed to make every note count.

Classic feel. Modern speed. Maximum expression.

ESP LH-150B – One Pickup. Massive Firepower.

When it comes to tone, the LTD EC-201 proves that sometimes one great pickup is all you need.

Armed with a powerful ESP LH-150B bridge humbucker, this guitar delivers aggressive output, thick distortion, and the punchy response needed for hard rock and metal.

The LH-150B provides tight, powerful lows, cutting midrange presence, and articulate highs that help every riff punch through the mix.

From thunderous palm-muted rhythms and heavy power chords to aggressive lead passages and saturated rock tones, this pickup delivers serious muscle.

Its striking antique nickel cover adds a vintage-inspired visual contrast to the otherwise blacked-out design.

But this guitar has another trick up its sleeve.

A convenient push/pull master volume control activates coil splitting, allowing you to switch from full-bodied humbucker power to a brighter, leaner single-coil-style response.

Need crushing distortion for heavy rhythms? Keep the humbucker engaged.

Looking for a sharper, cleaner sound with more bite? Pull the volume knob and explore a different tonal character.

With just one pickup and one control, the EC-201 delivers surprising versatility without sacrificing its straightforward approach.

Full-throttle humbucker power. Single-coil-style clarity. Zero distractions.

TOM Bridge – Rock-Solid Performance.

A guitar built for aggressive playing needs dependable hardware, and the EC-201 delivers with a traditional Tune-O-Matic-style bridge and tailpiece.

This proven fixed-bridge design provides a solid foundation for excellent intonation, responsive attack, and dependable tuning stability.

Without the complexity of a floating tremolo system, the EC-201 offers straightforward adjustments and easy maintenance, making it an excellent choice for players who want to spend more time playing and less time making setup adjustments.

LTD tuning machines provide smooth, reliable tuning, while the guitar's sturdy set-neck construction contributes to its solid, resonant feel.

Factory-equipped with D'Addario XL110 strings (.010-.046), the EC-201 delivers a familiar combination of string tension, playability, and powerful response.

Whether you're rehearsing, recording, or performing live, this guitar is ready to get to work.

Classic EC Styling. Modern Metal Personality.

The ESP LTD EC Series has earned a reputation for combining timeless single-cutaway styling with the power and performance demanded by modern guitarists.

The EC-201 carries that tradition forward in a sleek, stripped-down package designed for players who appreciate simplicity.

Its comfortable mahogany body, fast Thin U neck, versatile coil-splittable humbucker, and dependable fixed bridge create a guitar capable of handling a wide range of playing styles.

From classic hard rock and punk to aggressive metal and alternative music, the EC-201 offers everything you need to create your own sound.

And with its sophisticated Black Satin finish, elegant binding, and distinctive ESP flag inlays, it looks every bit as serious as it sounds.

It's dark. It's aggressive. It's remarkably versatile.

And it's unmistakably LTD.

Classic design. Modern aggression. No compromises.
