I have a 2019 Gibson Les Paul Traditional here. This is a Plus Top model in Blueberry Burst. It comes with its hard shell case and factory paperwork. It weighs 9 lb 7 oz.

Conditionally, this guitar looks very nice.

The body top shows just a small amount of guitar pick strumming in that common spot below the two pickups. But I did not find any notable playwear, and there is no buildup of soft surface swirling clustered anywhere. The nitro finish and the hardware look nice and shiny.

The body sides/edges look great. I did not find any chips, indentations, bumps, or clusters of playwear. Near the lower strap button, I see just a tiny little superficial surface scratch and a tiny little bit of swirling. These marks are about the same intensity as guitar pick strumming. There are no penetrating finish scratches.

The body back shows one line shaped surface indentation that is about an inch and a half long. It's basically like a scratch that does not break the finish. It just gently presses into the finish. I did not find a cluster of worming or any buckle rash patterns. Pretty much just that one shallow line shaped indentation. Beyond that, I see traces of scattered superficial swirling, but none creating a sheen or a buildup of clustered marks.

The neck shaft contour looks and feels excellent, with nothing to report there. I found one tiny surface indentation on the back of the headstock that does not break the finish, about a millimeter in size. It's minimal to the extent that it could just be a natural ridge in the wood that was finished over, as it does not disturb the finish. I didn't find any chips, scratches, or playwear on the headstock.

The frets are tall and full, showing no fretwear. The setup plays absolutely fantastic. It's a perfectly crafted neck, and it plays like butter. The original electronics are working as they should. The hard shell case is in very good condition, showing no notable marks.

This one rates anywhere from an 8.9 to a 9.1 on the 10 point scale, depending on how critical we are. This is right at the junction of excellent and the higher side of very good. By my standard, this one does qualify as excellent, as it really only has one notable mark. That being the line shaped surface indentation I mentioned that does not break the finish. The overall appearance, the aesthetics, and the luster of the gloss finish and hardware are very nice. The bulk of the instrument's surface is definitely in excellent condition.

This guitar is from the last year of the Les Paul Traditional. It was replaced by the Les Paul Standard '60s and '50s models, which are not very different from the Traditional. So this is very similar. The neck contour is called Rounded. It's also referred to as Slim Rounded. It is not quite as flat and thin as the current Les Paul Standard '60s, but it is noticeably slimmer than the Les Paul Standard '50s. So it's sort of that sweet spot in the middle. It's a very comfortable neck contour. It's a rare color and one of the nicer Traditional specimens I have had in a while.

As for the guitar itself. It's pure Les Paul. The Traditional is like a 1980's-2006 era Les Paul Standard. Sorta the old style of LP standard. Many feel this is the classic LP sound without chambering done to do the body. It sounds slightly denser and thicker especially in the mid range compared to the lighter LP Standards. Traditional's have a nice big natural resonance with a strong presence of bass and low mids. This is perfectly counter balanced by the clear and transparent PAF style boutique pickups which have a very detailed top end treble response. It has a nice well balanced predictably good LP tone. .

So overall this is a great Les Paul, certainly good enough tonally for any level of musician all the way up to a recording professional. The LP Traditional i also view as a good price point to performance level for a Les Paul. If you want to pay thousands more for a Historic reissue or LP Custom you can, but the quality of tone goes up very slightly from here on up. The LP Trad is a big step up above a studio or tribute.

Note that this listing may come down at anytime as I am a multi-platform seller and do sell locally and on my own Site as well in an effort to keep sales fluid. State sales tax will be charged On Reverb sales when applicable, so factor that in to your purchase.

I will immaculately pack it as well. I use quality shipping boxes, ample tape on all sides. And sufficient bubble wrap filler and bracing inside the box. And always Marked/denoted as fragile. I generally detune guitars 1/2 half step prior to shipment as well if needed.
