RARE!! Yamaha 30th Anniversary Maple Custom Snare Drum - 4"x14" - 1997 - Elvin Jones Gold Sparkle Finish

This is an excellent-condition Yamaha Maple Custom 30th Anniversary snare drum in the stunning Elvin Jones Gold Sparkle finish. Produced in 1997, this drum is part of Yamaha’s celebrated Maple Custom series, widely regarded as one of the finest eras of drum manufacturing from Yamaha.

The drum features a 7-ply North American maple shell, delivering the warm, articulate tone that made the Maple Custom line a favorite among professional drummers and recording engineers. The shallow 4"x14" depth provides exceptional sensitivity, crisp articulation, and a quick, responsive feel—perfect for jazz, studio work, and dynamic playing styles.

The Elvin Jones Gold Sparkle finish is particularly striking and rarely seen, paying homage to legendary jazz drummer Elvin Jones. The finish has beautiful depth and sparkle under stage lighting and pairs perfectly with Maple Custom kits in the same finish.

This drum has been extremely well cared for. The shell, hardware, and finish are exceptionally clean and present beautifully. Bearing edges are excellent, the throw-off operates smoothly, and the drum tunes easily across a wide range with outstanding tone and sensitivity.
