For sale is my holy grail amp, a 1977 Marshall JMP50 Model 1987 50w None Master Volume Head, they’re the same circuit as a superlead but half the power but don’t let that fool you, this thing is a monster! Also a rarity in itself as being from 1977, It should have rocker switches which were introduced in 1976 but this one has has the much older switches. it is believed this was either a special order from Marshall or a use up of parts from the factory. As far as I’m aware, the amp is unmodified but may have had a replacement pot or cap in its nearly 50 year lifetime! The video I’ll attach is of this exact amp through my 1976 Marshall 1960A 4x12 with Blackbacks (also for sale). I have a couple more videos of the amp in action, the video attached is of it playing fairly clean with Malcolm Young tones but it is MORE than capable of getting angry!
