For some styles of music, the magic number is seven. The Schecter Omen Elite-7 took the long-running Omen series, one of Schecter's most popular and affordable lines, and dressed it up with an arched burl top, black binding, pearloid line inlays, and newly designed Schecter Diamond Heretic humbuckers. This 7-string version pairs those upgrades with a longer 26.5" scale and a string-thru hardtail bridge, giving you a seven string guitar that delivers a powerful, modern rock vibe and serious playability at an affordable price. This one wears a rich Black Cherry Burst finish, and while that bold burl top and sleek double-cutaway design may hint at a guitar built for djent and metal, the Omen Elite-7 is a versatile electric guitar that feels right at home across a wide range of musical styles.

A 7-string may instantly suggest a certain genre of music, but it pays to have a guitar that is more than a one-trick pony. Despite their ominous name, the Diamond Heretic pickups are medium output rather than all-out high gain. They handle classic rock crunch with ease, yet have the kind of low end tightness that keeps that low B string focused when you chug through heavy riffs. Their lack of pronounced midrange emphasis also means they clean up nicely with good clarity and note separation. For cleaner passages, the 5-way pickup selector adds coil-split settings to the usual neck, bridge, and combined positions. As expected, the splits have a drop in output, but for leaner, jangly tones they do the trick.

The extended 26.5" scale adds string tension for a tight, articulate low end and makes drop tunings feel solid rather than floppy. The slim "C" profile neck, flat 16" fretboard radius, and 24 extra-jumbo frets lean toward shred, and at .787" deep at the 1st fret and .866" at the 12th, the neck stays comfortable even with the wider 1.889" nut. The Schecter Custom Hardtail with string-thru body construction anchors the strings for excellent sustain and rock solid tuning stability.

For cover band musicians, weekend warriors, and players ready to explore extended range, the Schecter Omen Elite-7 provides a broad palette of tones to handle nearly any set list. Its versatile sound and eye-catching looks make it a reliable and stylish choice for the stage, the studio, or the practice room.
