The 2007 Gibson Les Paul Robot Guitar is a historic, landmark instrument released on December 7, 2007, as the world’s first production electric guitar featuring an automated self-tuning system. Developed in partnership with Tronical, this innovative system utilized motorized tuners and a Master Control Knob (MCK) to automatically tune the guitar to several preset or user-defined configurations within seconds. Underneath its automated technology, it is a fully functioning, premium USA-made Gibson Les Paul built with a chambered mahogany body and a maple cap
