Martin’s current Remastered X Series 000-X2E. It has a solid Sitka spruce top over Brazilian rosewood-pattern HPL back and sides, with Martin’s own E-1 electronics. The 000 body is comfortable sitting or standing, sounds even across all six strings, and records easily.

In the Remastered update, Martin moved the neck, fingerboard and bridge to select hardwood and switched the pickup system to the E-1. The HPL back and sides handle humidity swings and travel far better than solid wood, so it’s a great guitar to take anywhere.
