Personal Thoughts:
This is a beautifully made SA2200 and a great example of why Yamaha’s Japanese-built semi-hollows have such a strong reputation. The Violin Sunburst finish suits the model perfectly, with the figured body, multi-ply binding, gold hardware and ebony fingerboard giving it a distinctly premium appearance without becoming overly ornate.
The SA2200 sits very comfortably in the classic 335-style world but has its own character. The semi-hollow construction gives plenty of warmth and acoustic resonance, while the solid centre block keeps the guitar focused and controllable at higher volumes. The ebony board adds a little extra definition and immediacy, balancing the naturally warm character of the body nicely.
The twin Alnico V humbuckers cover everything from rounded jazz and blues tones through to thicker rock sounds, while the push/push coil-splits add brighter, more open voices without cluttering the traditional four-knob layout. The overall build quality and fretwork are exactly what you would expect from Yamaha’s high-end Japanese production.
A superb professional semi-hollow that combines traditional styling, excellent versatility and exceptionally consistent Japanese craftsmanship.

Mint condition. Presents exceptionally well overall with no noteworthy marks, fret wear or signs of use to mention. Supplied with its original Yamaha hardshell case and associated documentation.
