Gibson 2001 Nick Lucas Reissue, a deep-body model faithfully recreating the original 1920s design.
Nick Lucas was a pioneer of the 1920s who brought the guitar forward as a solo voice at a time when it was seen only as an accompaniment instrument, blending classical, jazz, and pop elements in his playing.
The spruce top and figured maple back and sides produce a remarkably clear sound with a focused low-mid range and soft, rounded highs. Despite its compact size it has a commanding voice, handling everything from fingerpicking to chord strumming. Not just a nostalgic vintage-style guitar, but a serious instrument for today's stage and studio, recommended for lovers of jazz, blues, and fingerstyle.
