A rare and absolutely stunning 1994-1995 Fender Japan TLG-94P Telecaster, finished in classic Black with gorgeous double pearloid binding, gold hardware, and a matching black headstock.
This is definitely not your everyday Telecaster! The combination of shimmering pearl binding on both sides of the body, gold hardware, and a matching headstock gives this guitar a truly unique, almost Custom Shop look. A beautiful example of the attention to detail and craftsmanship that made '90s Japanese Fenders so special.
Equipped with Japanese Fender pickups that sound fantastic - plenty of classic Telecaster twang, clarity, and bite, with a warm, musical character. A great-sounding instrument with tons of personality.
The guitar is in good vintage condition with plenty of authentic character. It has clearly been played and loved over the past 30+ years, and it shows in the best possible way. There are numerous scratches, dings, dents, finish chips, and other signs of honest playwear throughout. Think of it as a naturally relic'd guitar - real battle scars earned over decades, not artificially created in a factory. All that wear gives it a really cool, broken-in vintage vibe.
The frets show noticeable wear and signs of previous leveling/polishing work, but remain playable. There are no significant grooves or deep divots, and the guitar currently plays comfortably without noticeable fret buzz or rattling. While the frets are certainly not in like-new condition, they still have life left in them and perform well as they are (see photos)
All electronics function properly, and the guitar sounds excellent.
A seriously cool and distinctive Japanese Fender with tons of vintage character. Perfect for players and collectors who appreciate unusual Fender Japan models, unique aesthetics, and guitars with a real story to tell.
Hard case included.
The following work has been done: full cleaning, lemon oil fretboard treatment, fret spot leveling/polishing and string height setup (2.3 mm at the 12th fret on the low E string), pickup height adjusted for balance and clarity, and a fresh set of D'Addario XL 10/46 strings installed.
