1960's Buffet Crampon R13 Clarinet--Overhauled, Very Nice!

One of several professional clarinets we are offering for sale. This is a vintage Buffet Crampon R13 clarinet in Bb. S/n 79XXX makes it 1964-1965, right at the beginning of Buffet’s Golden Era. It looks hardly used at all:  wood body apparently had a small, cosmetic chip at the edge of the top tenon which was so masterfully filled that the prior owner didn’t even know it was there. No other chips, cracks, pins or repairs at all. Nickel plating about 99.9% with little if any wear and polished to a gorgeous gleam. Just overhauled by another shop in September, 2026 with all new pads, tenon corks and a lot of the key materials replaced as well. Plays very well from top to bottom with an easy feel to the keywork and a big, dark tone. Cork grease and key oil are for local pickup only and will not be shipped, but it does include a Vandoren 5RV mouthpiece, Bonade inverted ligature, cap, ReedGard, new SuperSlick chamois swab, and new ProTec microfiber cloth. All in the vintage hard case with normal wear but functional with just a thin layer of extra padding in it for extra protection. A great clarinet from a great year in the best condition you’ll find available, and still more than $2,000 less than new!
