“Lee, where the hell have you been, bruh? No new guitar listings in almost a month. What gives?” Well, I've been building a brand-new website for Grinning Elk Music Company. Yeah, me. Building a website. Like I've ever done this shit before. Years in the guitar business, and suddenly I'm a web designer. Hell, what could possibly go wrong? Yeah OK, I'm getting to it. Now, to the feature presentation.

This bass is for the guy who wants a Steinberger in the worst way, but one look at the price tag and his wallet faints like a teenage girl in the front row at an Elvis concert. Never mind, this bass is exactly what you'd want if you're a budget-minded bassist looking for quality without spending a whole lot of cake.

“Lee, wait a minute. What's up with the finish? These didn't come in this color.”

No doubt, this one's been refinished, but professionally, I might add. Do I know who did it? Nope, but I'll tell you this: the workmanship reminds me an awful lot of the finish work coming out of GMW.

Under the hood? The Rio Grande Pitt bulls, that sounds like a chainsaw ripping through doors in the Texas Chainsaw massacre. Case? Original. Priced? Reasonable.

In closing, what more could you ask for at this kinda price? And from a few feet away, who's gonna know it isn't that outrageously expensive Steinberger you've been coveting?

Just remember, kids, Christie Brinkley is expensive, but you can have just as much fun with the girl next door for a fraction of the price.

And you'll still have enough money left over for those double ball strings, you know?
