This is a 2010 Gibson Custom Shop CS-356 Figured Top Cherry, a premium semi-hollow electric guitar crafted by Gibson Custom Shop.
The CS-356 combines the classic semi-hollow design of the ES-335 with a more compact body, offering a distinctive playing experience and tonal character compared to traditional Les Paul-style solid-body guitars.
Based on the CS-336, the CS-356 features upgraded appointments, including a beautifully figured maple top, ebony fingerboard, block inlays, and gold hardware.
Unlike the traditional laminated construction of the ES-335, the CS-356 features a carved mahogany back and sides, with the internal chambers routed from the solid mahogany body and capped with a carved maple top.
This unique construction is designed to combine the clarity and articulate attack of a solid-body guitar with the warmth, resonance, and rich tonal character of a semi-hollow instrument.
The transparent Cherry finish beautifully highlights the striking flame maple figuring, while the gold hardware, ebony fingerboard, and elegant block inlays create a sophisticated appearance that reflects the craftsmanship of Gibson Custom Shop.
The headstock features the distinctive Split Diamond inlay, further distinguishing the CS-356 from the standard CS-336.
With its compact body and double-cutaway design, the CS-356 offers excellent playing comfort and versatility, making it suitable for a wide range of musical styles, including blues, jazz, classic rock, and fusion.
Manufactured in 2010, this guitar is in good overall condition, with a small dent on the back of the body.
The original Gibson Custom Shop Certificate of Authenticity (COA) and Gibson hard case are included.
