Here is a very special Gibson 1958 Murphy Lab Les Paul finished in Sunburst! The Murphy Lab is a newer division of Gibson Custom Shop dedicated to the art of innovation who are highly skilled in aging guitars using the latest and most sophisticated technology and tools. Headed by legendary builder "Tom Murphy", these guitars are the pinnacle of Gibson. This one is a fantastic player and really sounds great thanks to the custom wound Gibson Custom Bucker Alnico III pickups! According to Gibson they are the most historically accurate PAF clones on the market, as close as you can get to the classic Les Paul tone.
This one is actually an R9 spec guitar with an R8 neck originally ordered as a one off by Andertons. Cosmetically this guitar is in excellent condition with the aged finish. We have given this guitar a full check over, the trussrod and electronics all work perfectly. Included is the original hardcase and certificate.
