This discontinued Japanese-made expansion board features 224 waveforms and 145 professionally programmed patches, offering a versatile collection of acoustic instruments, keyboards, guitars, basses, strings, brass, percussion, and classic synthesizer sounds.

IMPORTANT – RECENTLY RECAPPED!

The original aging electrolytic capacitor has recently been replaced, addressing the well-documented capacitor deterioration issue affecting Roland SR-JV80 expansion boards.

In January 2017, Roland issued an official safety advisory concerning the SR-JV80 expansion series, warning that aging electrolytic capacitors could leak and potentially cause smoke. Roland advised owners to discontinue using these boards.

Many expansion cards available today still contain their original capacitors, which are now decades old.

This particular board has already had its capacitor replaced, providing a meaningful maintenance advantage over an untouched vintage card.
