RARE ROLAND EXPERIENCE EXPANSION BOARD – RECENTLY RECAPPED!
Here is an excellent opportunity to own the Roland SR-JV80-99 Experience expansion board, featuring a collection of classic Roland sounds from the legendary JV and XP synthesizer era.
IMPORTANT: This board has recently had its aging electrolytic capacitor replaced, addressing the well-documented capacitor issue affecting Roland SR-JV80 expansion boards.
Why the Recap Matters
In January 2017, Roland officially issued a safety advisory concerning the SR-JV80 expansion board series.
Roland warned that aging electrolytic capacitors could deteriorate and leak, potentially causing smoke or damage. The company advised owners to immediately discontinue using the boards.
Many of these vintage expansion boards are still being sold with their original, decades-old capacitors installed.
This particular board has already had its capacitor replaced, eliminating the original aging capacitor that prompted Roland’s warning.
This is an important distinction for collectors and musicians who want to preserve their vintage Roland equipment.
