Amadeus Franz Hoffmann 1/4 Violin W/ Case and bow SN: KPA7006-181

Franz Hoffmann Amadeus 1/4 Violin with Bow & Case – Heel Crack – Needs Inspection

For sale is a used Franz Hoffmann Amadeus 1/4-size violin, complete with a bow and fitted carrying case. The violin features a glossy reddish-amber finish, black fingerboard and tuning pegs, a wooden bridge, chinrest, and four fine tuners.

Important condition notes: There is a crack in the neck heel, where the neck meets the body. The extent of the crack and its effect on structural stability have not been determined. A qualified violin repair technician should inspect the instrument before it is tuned or played.

The strings show slight oxidation, and replacement is recommended. There are also light cosmetic marks from previous use. Red finger-position guide tape is installed on the fingerboard, with additional tape visible on the back of the neck.

The bow is included as pictured; its playing condition has not been verified. The case features a dark blue/purple fitted interior, bow storage, an accessory compartment, and a carrying handle. Its exterior shows wear and handwritten size markings.

This violin is offered as a repair/setup project due to the heel crack. It is not represented as ready to play.
