H. Jimenez LBQ4EBT El Patron Bajo Quinto in Gloss Black w/Gig Bag

The H. Jimenez El Patron Bajo Quinto is a traditional 10-string bajo quinto engineered for authentic regional Mexican music and conjunto performance. Its striking gloss black finish with white pearloid pickguards commands visual presence while the mahogany back and sides deliver the warm, punchy resonance that defines this instrument class. The adjustable truss rod neck and bone nut-and-saddle setup allow straightforward action customization to suit your playing preferences.

Construction & Materials

Natural mahogany back and sides provide the tonal foundation, while the gloss black top is accented with three white pearloid micas for traditional aesthetics. Real bone nut and saddle ensure reliable intonation and sustain compared to synthetic alternatives. The adjustable truss rod allows you to dial in neck relief and action height without requiring professional setup work.

Electronics & Amplification

A Fishman Rare Earth Bajo active soundhole pickup captures the instrument's full frequency range, paired with a low-profile volume control for responsive gain adjustment.
