Tokai Tokai Springy Sound | ST50 | U pickups | 1980 1980

Tokai is a highly respected brand overall, but the legendary Springy Sound series represents the absolute pinnacle of what the brand has offered in the Stratocaster style!
This is the closest Japanese replica of a '60s Strat you can find. Think of features like the truss rod adjustment at the heel of the neck, the single ply pickguard, and the rounded, slim C shaped neck profile.

This particular instrument is equipped with "U" pickups. While Tokai's "E" pickups are generally the most renowned, the caveat with them is that they are hand wound; this means you might end up with either a fantastic unit or a dud and that is no exaggeration! In contrast, the vintage voiced "U" pickups are consistently great sounding.

This guitar is completely original down to the very last screw, and it comes with its original gig bag and tremolo arm! It has been exceptionally well preserved; aside from a few minimal signs of use, the guitar is a true time capsule.
A fantastic instrument with a lightweight body, weighing in at 3.4 kg.

The guitar resonates beautifully and has impressive acoustic volume! The body feels exceptional you really feel at one with the instrument and the neck is so comfortable you won't want to put it down (though, of course, that is subjective).
Flawless fretwork with no wear and set to a perfect height! It is well adjusted and operates noise free.

No downsides just the perfect vintage voiced Strat! This is the "poor man's '60s Strat"!

We are a shop, so you are welcome to come and play the instrument by appointment. Shipping is always an option, as is a trade in at trade in value. All guitars come with a 3 month warranty covering hidden flaws or technical defects (excluding normal wear and tear).
