A superb 2011 Marshall YJM100 Yngwie Malmsteen Signature head, presented in excellent condition and complete with its distinctive original red signature cover.

Produced as a limited-edition tribute to legendary Swedish guitarist Yngwie J. Malmsteen, the YJM100 is one of the most impressive and feature-packed variations of Marshall's iconic 1959 Super Lead ever produced. This is the UK spec 240v version.

At its heart is a 100-watt, all-valve Super Lead circuit, delivering the enormous headroom, aggressive upper-midrange bite and unmistakable harmonic character that made the original Plexi amplifiers so desirable.

However, the YJM100 takes the traditional Super Lead concept considerably further, incorporating a range of additional features specifically developed to reproduce Yngwie's signature sound while making the amplifier far more versatile than a conventional non-master-volume Marshall.

Finished in classic black levant with a gold control panel, vintage-style grille cloth and traditional Marshall script logo, the YJM100 retains the timeless appearance of a late-'60s Super Lead.

Classic Super Lead Tone with Modern Flexibility

The YJM100 retains the traditional four-input, two-channel Super Lead layout, providing everything from bold, articulate cleans through to the thick, harmonically rich overdrive associated with a cranked vintage Marshall.

What makes the YJM100 particularly special is the additional circuitry incorporated into the amplifier.

A built-in DOD-inspired overdrive circuit provides the additional gain and sustain associated with Yngwie's signature lead tone, while the onboard noise gate helps keep things controlled at higher gain settings.

There's also a switchable 50Hz mid-boost, adding extra body and sustain when required.

One of the most useful features is Marshall's EPA (Electronic Power Attenuation) system, allowing the amplifier's output to be reduced dramatically while retaining the response and character of the Super Lead circuit.

This makes the YJM100 considerably more practical than a traditional 100-watt non-master-volume Marshall, particularly for recording and situations where full stage volume simply isn't possible.

This example also comes complete with its original red YJM100 signature amplifier cover.

The cover features the distinctive Yngwie Malmsteen Signature Model branding and is a particularly desirable accessory to have with one of these limited-edition amplifiers.

Original accessories are often separated from amplifiers over time, so having the correct signature cover included is a welcome addition, particularly for collectors.

The amplifier has recently undergone a full professional check-over and testing to ensure everything is operating correctly.

All functions have been checked, including the amplifier's additional onboard features, and it is performing exactly as it should.
