Up for sale is a 2006 Fender Classic Series '50s Esquire Electric Guitar in White Blonde.

The guitar is used but remains in good, clean cosmetic and excellent playing condition, especially considering it is now approximately 20 years old.

It shows only a couple of light signs of cosmetic wear, including a small nick in the finish along the top edge of the body and another small nick on the back near the string-through holes. The wear is minor and does not detract from the overall appearance of the guitar.

The neck, fretboard, and overall instrument remain in nice shape.

The guitar has been set up with medium-low action and plays great. It is also particularly lightweight, weighing in at just 6.71 lbs.

An aftermarket gig bag is included.

About This Model

The Fender Classic Series '50s Esquire recreates one of Fender's earliest and most stripped-down solidbody electric guitar designs.

At first glance, the Esquire may look like a Telecaster missing its neck pickup, but its single bridge-pickup configuration and unique switching circuit are fundamental parts of the original Esquire design.

The three-way switch provides different sounds from the single bridge pickup rather than selecting between multiple pickups, giving the Esquire a surprisingly versatile range of tones despite its minimalist appearance.

The Classic Series '50s version captures the vintage-inspired character of the early Esquire with traditional Fender styling, a maple neck and fingerboard, string-through-body construction, and classic Tele/Esquire-style bridge.

The White Blonde finish is especially fitting for the early-'50s aesthetic and allows some of the character of the body wood to remain visible through the finish.

These Mexican-made Classic Series instruments have become increasingly appreciated by players looking for Fender's more traditional specifications and styling from the era before the Classic Series was discontinued.

At only 6.71 lbs, this particular example is also notably lightweight and comfortable.
