This is a 1952 Martin 0-17T tenor guitar with a natural lacquer finish, mahogany top, back and neck, and a rosewood fingerboard. It comes with original chipboard case (in poor condition). This is a well-used tenor with wear on the neck. There is no trim on the body besides a W/B/W sound hole ring and tortoise celluloid pickguard. The headstock has a small "C. F. Martin & Co. EST 1833" decal logo. The tuners are the open back Klusons. Overall length is 35 1/4 in., 13 5/8 in. wide at lower bout. Scale length is 23 in. Width of nut is 1 3/16 in. This is a well-loved and played original Martin, completely solid but showing the results of longtime use with visible wear and tear. The finish shows moderate dings, dents, and scrapes. The back and sides have scattered heavier wear spots, especially along the unbound edges. The back of the neck has scattered heavier wear spots where a capo was used extensively. The bridgepins and endpin appear original. If a little scruffy looking this is a very good player with a surprisingly powerful sound.
