Danelectro ’56 U-2 Reissue in Blue Suede

Here we have one of Danelectro’s most recognisable designs, pairing its lightweight semi-hollow construction with the distinctive sound of two lipstick single-coil pickups. The ’56 U-2 has a character all of its own, with plenty of clear, jangly top end and a woody resonance that works particularly well for clean, lightly driven, surf, indie and garage-style sounds.

The unusual hardboard-bodied construction is a large part of the classic Danelectro formula, while the 25" scale and lightweight build make this a comfortable and distinctive alternative to more conventional solid-body guitars.

This example is in Very Good condition overall, with light signs of previous use consistent with a pre-owned instrument. Please see the photos for the most accurate representation of its cosmetic condition.
