An optical compressor with a wide-range gain knob built into it, which is what separates it from every other compressor on a board. Turned down it is a clean squash; turned up the pedal moves through semi-gritty into a compressed overdrive that sounds like a channel rather than an effect.
Volume, Treble, Compression and Tight, with the gain control setting where on that range it sits. Tight pulls the low end in so the compression does not turn to mud when the gain comes up.
18V DC operation, no battery, true bypass, built in the USA.
