Description
Lexicon Dual FX algorithm card for the PCM 80 rack processor. It adds 25 new algorithms and 250 presets, pairing a second effect (such as delay, chorus, or pitch) with the PCM 80's reverbs so you can run reverb plus another effect in a single program. This was the most popular PCM 80 expansion card. Sound On Sound's review said that not buying the card "verges on the tragic!"
Specifications
- 25 Dual FX algorithms, built from combinations of five new effect blocks with the PCM 80's five original reverb types
- 250 factory presets, organized in five new preset banks labeled "X"
- Read-only PCMCIA (PC card) format; plugs into the front-panel card slot
- Compatible with the Lexicon PCM 80 and PCM 81
- The algorithms load from the card at power-up. Once loaded, you can remove the card and the algorithms stay available until the unit is switched off, so one card can load multiple PCM 80s in a studio.
- Doesn't take up user preset memory
