JBL LSR705i 5-Inch 2-Way Master Reference Monitor (Requires outboard processor and amplifier)

JBL LSR705i 5-Inch 2-Way Master Reference Monitor

The LSR705i is a professional nearfield reference monitor engineered for critical listening in mastering and mixing environments. This is a component-level system designed to integrate into a larger monitoring chain, requiring external signal processing and amplification to operate. Built on decades of JBL professional audio expertise, it delivers the precise, transparent reproduction demanded by experienced engineers and mastering professionals.

Acoustic Design & Transducers

At the heart of this monitor sits a 725G five-inch high-excursion woofer paired with a 2409H compression driver for midrange and treble reproduction. The patent-pending Image Control Waveguide ensures a seamless crossover transition at 1.9 kHz, minimizing acoustic coloration and maintaining phase coherence across the frequency spectrum—critical for accurate mix decisions.

Performance & System Requirements

The monitor delivers a maximum peak SPL of 107dB, with a frequency range extending from 39Hz to 36kHz, covering the full spectrum of professional audio content. The dividing network can be bypassed for bi-amplified operation, allowing advanced users to run dedicated amplification on the woofer and compression driver separately. This system requires a HARMAN Professional signal processor and external Crown Power Amplifier for operation—it is not designed for stand-alone use.
