1944 Gibson LG-2 is a wartime example featuring a mahogany body and spruce top, offering a dry, direct response typical of these "Kalamazoo Gal" examples.

Top: Spruce Back and Sides: Mahogany Neck/Fingerboard: Mahogany/Brazilian Rosewood Bridge Material: Brazilian Rosewood Tuners: Orginal Radius: 12" Neck Profile: U Neck Depth: 1.069" - 1.101" Scale Length: 24.75" Nut Width: 1.755"

The LG2 was part of the same series as the LG1 and LG3, but it was the only model that continued production during WWII. Due to supply shortages, it was common for Gibson to use mahogany instead of spruce for the top during those years.

Thanks to its all-mahogany construction, the sound stands out with that extra punch. And don't underestimate the power of this guitar. It seems small and compact, but produces a surprisingly loud tone.

The crackle pattern has spread over the years to the body and neck, contributing to the ultimate vintage guitar experience. It has the original pickguard and tuners
