**Please check out my other listings** I'm selling a ton of stuff right so I can run for president and make the world a better place.

Ladies, gentlemen, and tone-obsessed insomniacs of Reverb: may I present the whitest, wisest '65 Deluxe Reverb reissue you will ever lay eyes on.

This one skipped the "aging gracefully" phase and went straight to "unreasonably upgraded." Somewhere along the way it looked at its own circuit board and said absolutely not, so a professional ripped out the PCB and hand-wired the whole thing on a Hoffman board — the same style of point-to-point construction Fender charges you an extra grand for on the '64 Custom. Translation: this is basically a '64 Custom that went incognito in a snowstorm.

The specs, because I know you're skimming for them:

  • Professionally hand-wired on a Hoffman eyelet board (PCB sent to live on a farm upstate)
  • Output transformer and choke upgraded to Mercury Magnetics — the good stuff, the stuff tone nerds whisper about in forums at 2am
  • Professionally recovered in white tolex with matching white grille cloth and a white-painted Fender badge — looks like it raided Johnny Cash's closet during his one rebellious "wear light colors" phase
  • Tilt-back legs, because this amp looks up to you
  • Tweed mod - flip the switch on the back panel to tweed to remove negative feedback (I mean...) and let it break up sooner
  • Reverb mod - reverb is on both channels!
  • Swampy Tremolo Mod - The Hoffman circuit converts the amp to the bias wiggle tremolo of a Princeton Reverb - way better than the dumb opto trem of the larger black panel amps.
  • Lead Channel Mod - channel 1 (the one that we all ignore) is voice to more of a Marshall voice to handle humbuckers better.
  • Road-tested and stage-proven across years of gigs in San Francisco and the greater Bay Area — this thing has heard more bad sound-check jokes than you have

It's not a museum piece. It's not scared of a stage. It just happens to also sound like a hand-wired blackface circuit should, which is to say: extremely good, in the way that makes other guitarists ask annoying questions between sets. It will also outlive us all.

$1,700 or offer. Serious inquiries welcome; so are compliments on the tolex.
