The V256 Vocoder Pedal by Electro-Harmonix can do a vast assortment of tricks for your vocals, and can be controlled either by voice alone, or paired with a guitar or even a keyboard (VIA the MIDI insert) Multiple voices can be created as a chorus (minor/major) a robot sound, or the Reflex tuning made famous by a host of rap, hip hop and techno/house recording artists. The pitch and "gender bender" control reminds me of Ween (which was worth buying it in the first place). Some of the guitar and vocal combinations include a "talk-box" effect! I was able to use it in a live setting, which was a lot of fun. Everything works as it should, just a couple of small scratches on the surface.
