We are selling this super rare and vintage Ketron SD4, a cool desktop expander sound module made in Italy in 2008.

SERIAL NUMBER: B8AA11375N

CONDITIONS: We tested the unit by connecting it to a midi master keyboard. All the LEDs light up correctly. All sections play perfectly (you have to connect your midi controller to the midi input number 2). Cosmetically the unit is in excellent condition with some minor traces of use due to the age. It comes with a compatible power supply and a printed copy of the original manual. It’s a real vintage and super rare gem: fully working, grab a bargain!

DESCRIPTION: The KETRON SD4 is a cool pocket size sound module designed for all Midi applications. Equipped with a powerful sound engine, including a professional Stereo Grand Piano sound over 88 notes, huge Orchestral voices such as Saxophones, Brass, Woodwinds, Guitars, Accordions, Organ Digital Drawbars and many others, the SD4 has all the latest features for recording, programming and live performances.

The quality of the Solo instrumental Voices (following the traditional KETRON Best Natural sound heritage) is a remarkable advantage the SD4 has over its competitors. Used in conjunction with a Master keyboard, Midi accordion or Midi guitar, the SD4 offers an “all- in- one” great sound resource that can be used to greatly enhance standard Midi files, as well as for Home and Studio compositions and recordings.

Its Midi capability allows one to control up to 32 Midi channels and includes DSP effects such as Reverb, Chorus, Delay and Distortion.

The SD4 can be directly connected to a mobile PC using a USB connection without need of power supply or it can be useful to interface Master keyboards lacking in USB ports. Moreover, by the three potentiometers it’s possible to change in real time the Midifile main parameters balancing the volume of the single tracks of the Midifile or of the Preset sounds that are being used. A very useful function of “Intelligent Transposer” is available for the Midifile play back. This allows its key to be changed without altering the instrument’s timbre.

This is one of the finest sound modules on the market!

Ketron (before was Solton) is the Italian brand that produced many cool instruments including the famous Solton Programmer 24. The Company was based in Ancona, Marche, Italy, in the same area where Elka, Eko, Elgam, Farfisa, Crumar, Jen, Siel, Orla, CRB, etc. were born.

THIS KETRON SD4 IS FULLY WORKING AND IN EXCELLENT COSMETICAL CONDITIONS FOR ITS AGE. IT WILL BE PACKAGED IN A PROFESSIONAL WAY (PLEASE, READ OUR FEEDBACK) BUT ANY WAY IT WILL BE SOLD AT BUYER'S OWN RISK, WITHOUT WARRANTY AGAINST POSSIBLE DEFECTS DUE TO TRANSPORT: WE CAN'T OFFER ANY REFUND OR RETURN!

This is your chance to get your hands on a truly cool arranger machine and sound module made in Italy.

Very hard to let this one go, but it's not getting enough use and it's just time to move on.
