Mid-Fi Electronics Demo Tape Fuzz Guitar Pedal (Used)

This used Mid-Fi Electronics Demo Tape Fuzz is a handcrafted, USA-made pedal designed to recreate the sound of plugging a guitar directly into an overloaded cassette 4-track recorder or vintage mic preamp . You get a thick, textured fuzz that ranges from warm vintage drive to blown-out, sputtering saturation, capturing that distinctive lo-fi, garage-rock character .

The control layout features Volume, Bass, Treble, and Trim knobs . The Bass and Treble controls form a powerful two-band EQ for shaping your tone, while the Trim knob governs gain and saturation . The circuit intentionally runs at a lower internal voltage to achieve reduced headroom, which is key to its authentic cassette-style clipping . It operates on standard 9V DC power with true bypass switching .

Plug it in and you'll find a pedal that cleans up beautifully with your guitar's volume knob, making it responsive to your playing dynamics . It works great on guitar, bass, and synths, and is a favorite among players seeking that raw, direct-in recording aesthetic popularized by artists like Wilco's Jeff Tweedy .
