Yamaha SG-2 1960s Japan
Vintage Yamaha SG-2 in Pearl White, made in Japan in the 1960s.
A very cool and increasingly hard-to-find early Yamaha solidbody, with the unmistakable SG-2 design, pickups and tremolo system.
The guitar is in genuine vintage condition with plenty of signs of use, including scratches, dings, finish wear and general ageing. Please study the photos carefully for an accurate representation of the condition.
It is fully playable and the electronics work. There is some crackling from the controls here and there, so a cleaning/service of the electronics may be beneficial. I have not attempted to adjust the truss rod.
The original-style tremolo arm is included, which is often missing on these guitars.
A great example for anyone interested in early Yamaha guitars, vintage Japanese instruments, surf, garage and 1960s oddball guitars.
Sold as a vintage instrument in the condition shown in the photos. The guitar will be carefully packed for shipping. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or would like additional photos.
