The Fluid Audio SRI-2 is a compact 2x2 USB audio interface that combines high-resolution 24-bit/192-kHz conversion with the practical features of a monitor controller.

The particular strength of this device, housed in a rugged aluminum enclosure, lies in its four TRS outputs, which allow you to connect two pairs of monitor speakers. Using a button on the front panel, you can switch directly between the two sets (A/B comparison) to check your mix on different monitoring systems. An additional SUM switch mixes the two input signals into mono, which is useful, for example, for live sessions or for phase checking.

Thanks to the angled design and the front-mounted XLR/jack combo inputs, all controls and connections are clearly visible and easily accessible at all times. The two Class-A microphone preamps offer up to 54 dB of gain and +48V phantom power; a switchable Hi-Z input is also available for guitars or basses. Zero-Latency Direct Monitoring ensures latency-free tracking, while the powerful headphone output (75 mW at 32 ohms) easily drives even the most demanding headphones.

Power is supplied directly via USB 2.0; an additional micro-USB power adapter is required for use with an iOS tablet (not included). The package includes Cubase LE for PC/Mac and Cubasis LE for iOS, though the interface is, of course, compatible with all common DAWs.
