Very rare and very early DX version in Purple Neon. (actually made in late ‘91 for the ‘92 run) Very clean for it’s age. Sounds and plays great. I own several vintage RGs and this is the lightest of the lot. Also has one of the thinner wizard necks i’ve played, it’s great

Cosmetic Condition:
-The mirrored pickguard has some “star-ing” by the tone knob, if you run your finger on it ,you don’t feel it though. It’s always been like this, and has never gotten worse. Also has miscellaneous pick scratches etc.
-Neck is great no cracks, 4 screws/neck plate are worn (see pic)

-Has the standard neck pocket paint cracks (not structural) that all virtually all early Ibanez RGs get. (see pic)
-Body in better than average shape for it’s age, just one paint chip w visible wood on the body near the arm (see pic)
Pickup Upgrade: The pickups have been majorly with all Seymour Duncans which sound excellent! (the original V and S pickups you can grab cheap online if you like, but they honestly are terrible, i think i actually tossed them yrs ago)
-Bridge: is an early custom variant of the ‘78 that was handwound by the Duncan Custom Shop before the ‘78 was a production model.
- Middle is a vintage staggered.
-Neck is an Alnico Pro 2

(Note: if you don’t want the Duncans lmk, i may consider offering a refund for them, if you remove them and send them back in perfect condition)
